About Me

The Dallas Startup Blog is part of the Startup Blog Network, SpringStage. I offered to contribute to one of the blogs and next thing I know, I am in charge of the Dallas blog. Feel free to help out if you have something to share.
I am a chronic entrepreneur who has been involved in founding or cofounding about a dozen ventures over the last 15 years in Dallas. I have been fortunate to have been a part of a few successful ones (CreateTech (sold to Broadcast.com), musicforce (sold to Gaylord Entertainment), Viewzi, etc.) and some fantastic failures (Stick Networks among others).
I have met with most of the venture investors in Dallas, and have raised over $20MM in the last decade for startups. I have some pretty strong opinions about what is wrong with the Dallas startup scene, and while I don’t have all the answers, I am willing to have a beer with you and hash it out.
I currently run a startup called Viewzi. Viewzi does “multi-view” search and we are trying to help web sites deliver richer, more engaging search. 2009 has been rough for us, but we are alive and thankful to still have a shot of building somethinf valuable. My favorite part of all this is working with other really smart folks to build great things.
